Abstract

The CO2 Removal System is one of the major energy consuming section in the ammonia units and very often a bottleneck to increase the NH3 production. The paper describes well proven GV technologies that can be applied to the CO2 Removal Systems to save energy and boost the ammonia production. Case histories are discussed to illustrate the results achieved in several revamped units smoothly operating since many years.
