Abstract

Among the CO2 removal processes, Giammarco-Vetrocoke (GV) holds a prominent place for its well-known widely applied technologies at low energy consumption and particulary for the use of promoters in hot potassium carbonate (HPC) based absorbing solutions. This paper reports on the results of the passage from GV glycine activated solution to the new GV dual activated solution in the GV CO2 removal unit in IGFCC's 1500 MTPD NH3 plant at Jagdishpur.
