LATEST ACHIEVEMENTS IN GV LOW-ENERGY CO2 REMOVAL PROCESS WITH DUAL-ACTIVATED SOLUTION (NFCL PLANT)

Abstract

Among the CO2 removal plants, Giammarco-Vetrocoke (GV) holds a prominent place not only for its well-known widely applied technologies at low energy consumption but particulary for the use of promoters in hot potassium carbonate (HPC) based absorbing solutions. This paper will explorer the main characteristics of the GV technology focusing on the operating results of NFCL's CO2 removal plant at Kakinada, consolidated after more than one year of operation.
